Agricultural Lime is a soil additive made from pulverized limestone or chalk. The primary active component is calcium carbonate. Additional chemicals vary depending on the mineral source and may include calcium oxide, magnesium oxide and magnesium carbonate.
Hydrated Lime
Hydrated Lime is a chemical compound with the chemical formula Ca(OH)2. It is a colorless crystal or white powder, and is created when calcium oxide (called lime or quicklime) is slaked with water . It can also be created by mixing an aqueous solution of calcium chloride and an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide. Other names for hydrated lime is calcium hydroxide, or slaked lime.
